About Linda Sevilla

Linda Sevilla, hypnotherapist and manifestation teacher

Hypnotherapist. Author. Educator. Intuitive. Creative. And a lifelong explorer of the subconscious mind.

I've always been fascinated by why people do what they do.

Why do we keep repeating patterns we know aren't good for us? Why can two people experience the same event and come away with completely different beliefs about themselves and the world? Why do we sometimes struggle so hard to achieve something we consciously want?

And perhaps the question that has fascinated me most: How much of what we think, feel, believe, and experience can we actually change?

These questions have taken me down some pretty interesting rabbit holes over the years.

And I'm still exploring.

It Started With Hypnosis

My fascination with human behavior eventually led me to hypnotherapy in 1999.

What began as an interest in understanding the mind became a career that has now spanned more than 25 years. Along the way, I became a clinical hypnotherapist, instructor, and founder of Horizon Center School of Hypnotherapy.

I've had the privilege of working with thousands of clients and students, helping people understand why they do what they do and how to create meaningful changes in their lives.

But one of the most interesting things about spending so much time studying the subconscious mind is that the more you learn, the more questions you have.

I became particularly interested in why the same therapeutic techniques could produce dramatically different results for different people.

That curiosity eventually led me to develop Whole Brain Hypnotherapy, an approach that recognizes the importance of working with both the conscious and subconscious minds rather than treating the conscious mind as something that needs to be switched off.

It's also shaped the way I teach. I'm far more interested in helping practitioners understand why they're doing something than teaching them to follow a script.

But hypnotherapy was really just the beginning.

And Then There Were the Rabbit Holes...

When you spend decades exploring the subconscious mind, you inevitably start wondering what else you can do with it.

My interests expanded into manifestation, intuition, meditation, subliminal messaging, frequencies, visualization, color, and the relationship between our internal experiences and the lives we create.

Some of these subjects have substantial scientific research behind them. Others are more speculative, experiential, or spiritual.

I'm interested in exploring all of them, while recognizing that personal experience and scientific evidence aren't necessarily the same thing.

I'm also fascinated by the relationship between the subconscious mind and creativity.

Which brings me to another side of my life.

I Make Things, Too.

Jewelry, art, clothing, and whatever else catches my imagination.

I've always loved making things.

I create my own jewelry, experimenting with paint, color, beads, wire, and handmade designs. I'm also developing a clothing line because apparently creating jewelry wasn't enough to keep me occupied.

For me, creativity is another way of exploring possibilities. I love taking something that exists only in my imagination and figuring out how to bring it into the physical world.

And I have a particular weakness for color, texture, unusual combinations, and anything shiny.

Lots of shiny things.

It's probably not surprising that my creative interests and my fascination with the subconscious mind frequently overlap.

Sometimes I'm experimenting with color and imagery for meditation. Sometimes I'm creating audio recordings. Other times I'm making necklaces or imagining what a particular design would look like on a dress.

I don't see these as unrelated interests. They're different expressions of the same curiosity about imagination, perception, possibility, and creation.

From Studying Manifestation to Living It

For years, I'd explored manifestation through my professional work and personal experiments. I was fascinated by the relationship between what we believe is possible, what we focus on, the decisions we make, and the opportunities we recognize.

Then life gave me an opportunity to put everything I'd learned to the test.

My husband and I decided to leave Canada and create an entirely different life in Mexico.

We had a vision. We had a plan. We were doing the inner work and taking action.

And then we found ourselves living in a hotel room in Cancún with two cats, financial uncertainty, and absolutely no idea how we were going to get out.

Not exactly the luxury and abundance I'd been envisioning.

That experience became the inspiration for my first book, Chats with Witchy: A Story of Manifestation, Self-Trust, and Creating the Life You Want When Reality Isn't Cooperating.

It's a personal story about what happens when everything around you appears to contradict what you're trying to create. It's about fear, faith, the subconscious mind, listening to your intuition, taking action, and learning to trust yourself when you can't see the entire path ahead.

And it's about discovering that what you thought you wanted might not be what you actually wanted at all.

I recently finished writing the manuscript, and it has opened up an entirely new chapter in my life.

Apparently, I have quite a lot to say.

What's Next?

Chats with Witchy is only the beginning.

I'm also developing How to Hear Your Own Ding, a book about recognizing and learning to trust your internal guidance system. It's particularly relevant in a world where we're constantly bombarded with information, opinions, and increasingly convincing AI-generated content.

And I'm continuing to develop the Quantum Alignment Protocol, which brings together the tools, exercises, and practices I've explored through my work with the subconscious mind and my own experiences with manifestation.

I'm interested in creating more books, courses, audio recordings, videos, and opportunities for people to explore these ideas for themselves.

I'm also looking forward to spending more time making art, designing jewelry, and developing my clothing line.

I don't believe I have to choose just one thing to be interested in.

Fortunately, I have no intention of doing so.

The Thread That Connects It All

Looking back over my career and the many directions my curiosity has taken me, I can see a common thread.

I'm interested in understanding why we become who we become, how our experiences shape our beliefs, and what happens when we begin questioning the limitations we've accepted.

I'm interested in the relationship between our conscious intentions and subconscious responses.

And I'm fascinated by the creative process of imagining something that doesn't yet exist and finding ways to bring it into being.

Whether I'm working with the subconscious mind, writing a book, experimenting with meditation, or designing a piece of jewelry, I'm exploring different aspects of that same process.

I don't claim to have all the answers. In fact, I suspect I'll spend the rest of my life discovering new questions.

And I'm perfectly happy with that.

Welcome to my world. I'm glad you're here.
