Hypnotherapy Practitioner Training
Learn to understand the person behind the symptom.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to help someone understand why they keep responding in a way they wish they could change?
Perhaps you're considering becoming a hypnotherapist.
Maybe you already work with clients and want to deepen your understanding of the subconscious mind.
Or perhaps you've studied hypnosis before but find yourself wondering what to do when the usual suggestions and scripts aren't enough.
I'd love to introduce you to a different way of thinking about hypnotherapy.
I've been working with clients since 1999 and teaching hypnotherapy since 2004. Through that experience, I developed Whole Brain Hypnotherapy, an approach that works with both the conscious and subconscious mind.
It's the foundation of what I teach at the Horizon Center School of Hypnotherapy.
Learn to Think Like a Hypnotherapist
Two clients can come to you with the same concern for entirely different reasons.
One person may struggle to speak up because expressing emotion wasn't welcome in their childhood home.
Another may have learned that being visible attracts criticism.
Someone else may associate disagreement with the risk of losing an important relationship.
The behavior may look similar, but the beliefs and associations connected to it can be completely different.
That's why I teach students to understand the individual, not simply choose a script based on the symptom.
In Whole Brain Hypnotherapy, we explore what the subconscious has learned through experience, how those beliefs may be influencing a person's current responses, and what new understanding could support change.
Rather than treating the conscious mind as something to bypass, I teach students how to engage it in the therapeutic process.
The goal is to develop the ability to think critically about each client's circumstances and choose interventions, suggestions, and hypnotic arguments that make sense for that individual.
What You'll Explore in the Training
My professional training is designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of hypnosis, the subconscious mind, and individualized therapeutic work.
You'll explore:
-
The nature of hypnosis and trance, including different trance experiences.
-
The relationship between the conscious and subconscious mind.
-
How beliefs, emotional associations, and learned responses may contribute to a client's presenting concern.
-
How to explore the context behind a pattern rather than focusing only on the symptom.
-
How to engage the client's conscious mind throughout the therapeutic process.
-
How to develop individualized suggestions, interventions, and hypnotic arguments.
-
How to structure sessions around the person you're working with rather than relying exclusively on predetermined scripts.
The training combines theory, practical teaching, demonstrations, and client-centered examples to help you develop your understanding of the work.
Whether you're beginning your hypnotherapy education or expanding your existing skills, my aim is to help you understand not only what to do, but why you might choose a particular approach.
