Ground Yourself

A Guided Hypnosis Session for Calm, Presence & Anxiety Relief

It's difficult to focus on creating what you want when your mind is busy preparing for everything that could go wrong.

When we're anxious or ungrounded, our attention can become consumed by worry, old memories, imagined problems, and worst-case scenarios. And when that's where our attention repeatedly goes, it's easy to keep reinforcing the same thoughts, emotions, expectations, and reactions we're trying to move beyond.

That's one reason I think grounding is an important manifestation tool.

Manifestation isn't about pretending that difficult things aren't happening or forcing yourself to feel positive all the time. It's about becoming aware of where your attention is going and learning how to bring yourself back to a state where you can think more clearly, notice possibilities, and make intentional choices.

Grounding Brings You Back to Now

Grounding is essentially the practice of bringing your attention away from everything your mind is imagining, remembering, or worrying about and back to what's actually happening right now.

Your breath.

Your body.

The chair underneath you.

The sounds around you.

What you can see, hear, feel, smell, and touch.

And that matters for manifestation because when you're constantly caught in fear and worry, you're repeatedly focusing your attention on the very experiences you don't want.

It's also much harder to recognize an inspired idea or hear what I call your ding, that subtle nudge, realization, thought, or impulse that may be pointing you toward your next step, when fear is shouting over everything else.

Grounding helps quiet some of that noise.

What You'll Experience in This Session

In this guided hypnosis, I'll take you through several different ways of grounding yourself so you can notice which ones feel most natural and effective for you.

You'll experiment with body awareness, breathing, touch, your five senses, verbal grounding, counting, posture, and using a simple symbol as a reminder that you are here, now.

You don't need every technique to work equally well.

The idea is to give your subconscious several experiences of returning to the present so that, with repetition, those pathways can become more familiar and easier to access when you need them.

This isn't about never feeling anxious or worried again.

It's about having ways to bring yourself back.

And from that steadier place, it becomes easier to ask:

What's actually happening right now?

What possibilities can I see from here?

And what is my next step?

Find somewhere comfortable where you won't be disturbed, settle in, and give yourself the full session.
